Chicharó

Chicharó are snowpea pods. They are very nutritious and crunchy when cooked right.

The pea plant’s scientific name is Pisum sativum.

In native Tagalog orthography, the word is spelled tsitsaró, and a few people pronounce it at sitsaró.
